Dr. Richard Fenn, D.C.
Dr. Richard Fenn completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in Ontario Canada, where he graduated with an Honors Bachelors of Science, (B.Sc.(Hon.)). While completing his undergraduate studies, due to his outstanding academic achievement in physics, he was offered a position at the University of Toronto, as part-time faculty, in the Faculty of Physics, as a teaching assistant. As Dr. Fenn recalls: “that was a crazy time in my life. I had just been accepted in a PhD program in Physics, yet my heart was pulling me into healthcare as I had been working at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto as an orderly. This was a fantastic opportunity, as my father had worked at St. Michaels for over 20 years as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. I loved working on the trauma team, in the ER and in neurology.” After graduation I was accepted into the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. While attending CMCC I continued working at St. Michaels Hospital often helping in psychiatry, orthopedics, emergency and neurology.
Since graduation, he has worked as an adjunct professor at CMCC in post-grad education, served as an advisor for the Medical Advisory Board for the Ministry of Health in the Province of Ontario, was the only Chiropractor to be recognized as a Specialist in an Ontario Hospital, when he was the head of the physical medicine department at the Institute of Traumatic, Plastic and Restorative Surgery, in Toronto. In addition, Dr. Fenn was Member of the Insurance Consultant group for the Ontario Chiropractic Association, Vice- President of the Acupuncture Council of Ontario and Represented Canada in the North American Free Trades talks in Mexico, all while having a very robust clinical practice.
Dr. Fenn was one of the first doctors in America to be Nationally Certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia through the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and the first Doctor of Chiropractic to perform Acupuncture Anesthesia for Childbirth at the Toronto General Hospital, in Toronto Canada. Dr. Fenn had the honor and privilege to been taught spinal decompression by Dr. Allan Dyer, MD. Ph.D , the inventor of Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression, using the VAX-D. Currently, he has National Certification regarding Advanced Training in Disc Disorders by the International Medical Advisory Board on Spinal Decompression.
